[FPT Telecom] is hiring an ASIC Design Verification Engineer within the Infrastructure organization. We are looking for individuals with experience in Design/Verification to build IP and System On Chip (SoC) for Edge AI applications.
 

JOB DESCRIPTION:
An Image Signal Processing (ISP) IP development job involves designing and developing hardware and software to improve image quality. This work can be applied to a variety of industries, including medical imaging, video surveillance, and defense. As an Image Signal Processing Engineer, you'll:
 

• Design and develop algorithms for image enhancement, compression, and analysis.
 

• Optimize image signal processing pipelines for performance and efficiency.
 

• Collaborate with hardware and software teams for seamless system integration.
 

• Test and debug: Design and execute test scenarios, and debug new approaches to image processing.
 

• Create prototypes: Develop prototype systems to demonstrate new technologies.
 

• Participate in the design and RTL development of ISP IP blocks and their integration into SoCs.
 

• Develop Verification Environments using UVM to verify the functionality and performance of ISP blocks and SoC systems.
 

• Analyze and optimize hardware architectures to accelerate AI/ML algorithms for image processing on Edge Devices.
 

• Support firmware/driver development to control and interface with ISP IPs on the SoC.

• 'Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Image Processing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
 

• Solid ASIC and/or FPGA design experience.
 

• In-depth understanding of the stages of an ISP pipeline, including noise reduction, demosaic, defect correction, HDR, white balance, ETC.
• Experience with Machine Learning (ML) techniques, especially in image processing applications and Edge AI.
 

• Strong Design and Verification skills.
 

• Proficiency in System Verilog, UVM for RTL design and verification.
• Experience in RTL Synthesis Coding.
 

• Deep understanding of system-level architecture, such as interconnects, memory hierarchy, interrupts, and memory-mapped IO.
 

• Proficiency in programming languages like C/C++ or Python, and signal/image processing libraries (e.g., OpenCV).
 

• Expertise in image signal processing algorithms and techniques.
 

• Ability to read schematics, datasheets, and use hardware debugging tools.
 

• Good logical thinking, analytical, problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
 

• Good English communication skills (both written and spoken) for reading technical documents and daily communication.
 

PLUS POINTS:
 

• Experience with EDA vendor simulation and synthesis tools (Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor Graphics).
 

• Understanding of ML/DL frameworks like TensorFlow Lite, PyTorch Mobile, ONNX Runtime.
 

• Experience with image standards (e.g., MIPI CSI, D-PHY).
 

• Personal projects or open-source contributions related to ISP or Edge AI.
 

• Experience with embedded Linux.
