System Management & Oversight

• Oversee and approve key operational quality procedures, including Material Receiving, Dimension, Welding (AWS, ASME, EN ISO), Surface Preparation & Painting, and Preshipment/Packing.
• Review, manage, and audit all inspection records, purchase orders, CMTR/MTC, NDT reports, and traceability documentation compiled by the inspectors.
• Ensure that all measuring and testing equipment/tools used by the QA/QC team are properly calibrated, maintained, and free from damages.

Team Leadership & Operations

• Supervise and direct the Quality Engineer and Incoming Material Inspector directly, and guide the inspectorial staff (Welding, Dimension, Paint/Blasting) in their daily execution of inspection duties.
• Provide immediate disposition and solutions for serious quality non-conformances reported by Quality Engineers or Inspectors.
• Review and analyze daily accomplishment and inspection reports to identify quality trends, initiate non-conformance reports (NCRs), and implement preventive and corrective actions.

Inter-departmental & External Coordination

• Coordinate strategically with the Purchasing Department, Production (Foreman), and Shipping/Logistics to streamline material incoming processes, resolve production quality bottlenecks, and ensure safe loading/transportation.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients and external inspection agencies regarding quality audits, specifications, and non-conformances.

Other duties as requested by the Company or the direct supervisor

Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of working experience in the Quality Management/QA-QC field, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

Technical Skills: Bachelor's (University) degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field. Deep and comprehensive knowledge of international material standards, welding inspection codes (AWS, ASME, EN ISO), dimension controls, surface preparation, coating technologies, and QMS implementation.

Languages: Professional communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Vietnamese (writing, speaking, reading, listening) to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.

Preferred Certificates: Certified Quality Manager (CQM), ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, or advanced international certifications in welding (AWS-CWI, CSWIP) or painting (NACE, FROSIO) are highly preferred.

Soft Skills: Strong leadership, managerial, and team development skills. Advanced complex problem-solving abilities to identify issues and evaluate corrective/preventive options. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, QA/QC database software, and other management systems.

Other Requirements: Experience preferably within heavy fabrication, steel structure, or mechanical manufacturing industries. Occasional site visits, client meetings, or vendor audits outside the primary factory might be required. Must strictly adhere to and promote company health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations to prevent labor accidents.
