Import - Export Compliance Officer

Job Summary

Import-export compliance officer primarily document shipments to ensure that they are following customs rules and regulations. SHE/He also counsel company on matters like tariffs, insurance, clearance, other regulations, and duties of imported countries. They categorize shipments according to a tariff coding system. This position also requires consulting with customs agents to ease passage of shipments through customs, consults company how to reduce duties and taxes owed. They track the location of the shipment. They prepare goods for shipment, using the best, most economical packaging.

Job description

·     Prepare customs declaration documents, including invoice, packing list, CO and other shipment-related documents. Check document validity. Manage and maintain factory HS code list for exported goods given from corporate or country regulations. Update circular on new regulations of the industry for export/ import goods.

·     Customs declaration on ECUSS5 system for export goods (types of production, export, business, temporary import for re-export, sample, non-commercial), customs clearance (including inspection for red line/ changed line). Solving customs issue if any, including customs channelization inspection.

·     Monitor the inventory of imported materials used to produce exported goods and use norms until the goods are shipped. Prepare annual settlement reports of raw materials, finished products and other reports in accordance with current Laws.

·     Work with forwarders to arrange shipments. Making settlement documents, refunding advanced shipping fees. Make proposal payment for container freight, loading fees for forwarders. Establishes relationships, working with agencies, other service providers.

·     Coordinate, support other departments related to procedures, goods, documentation, and other arising issues.

·     Prepare periodic reports, export reports and related export declarations according to the regulations of the company. Manager, gather, file and keep relevant shipping, customs documents.

·     Ensure export from Vietnam comply with the provisions of the law and the Group (Export Control).
