Trainee Lawyer / Legal Assistant

Capable Counsel is seeking a Trainee Lawyer/Legal Assistant with at least 2 years of experience to support the Lawyers and higher positions in advisory, corporate, investment, licensing and dispute-related matters.

• Conducting legal research, analysis and reviewing legal documents;
• Preparing, drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, legal memoranda, corporate documents and other legal documents;
• Assisting in company incorporation, licensing, amendment, compliance and other regulatory procedures;
• Supporting investment, corporate, commercial and licensing matters for local and foreign-invested clients;
• Assisting in legal due diligence and document review processes;
• Liaising and working with clients, government authorities and relevant third parties;
• Assisting lawyers in dispute resolution, litigation and arbitration-related matters where required;
• Organizing, managing and maintaining legal files and licensing dossiers;
• Translating and proofreading legal documents and correspondence (Vietnamese - English);
• Attending meetings with clients, authorities and business partners where required;
• Supporting partners and lawyers in other legal matters where required;
• Assisting the Managing Partner in internal operational and administrative matters from time to time.

• Holding an LLB, LLM, or another equivalent degree in Law;
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in a law firm or in-house legal position;
• Good legal research, drafting and analytical skills;
• Good command of English, especially legal drafting and communication;
• Ability to communicate in another foreign language besides English is an advantage;
• Having logical thinking, good analytics, strong presentation and negotiating skills;
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple assignments under pressure.
