Global Freight Business Development Daily Support (60%)
- Working closely with vendors/carriers/agents on daily basis for best proposal in terms of costing, service level, solution to accommodate customer request; Prepare the quotations and send to designated customers as BD’s request.
- Assist in closing new business deals by coordinating requirements and solutions globally or locally
- Collaborate with Global Project Team, Global Procurement Team and Operations teams to build an optimal solution for RFI/RFP; Coordinate with BD to contributue Vietnam’s part in regional RFI/RFP/spot shipment request and submit to regional team in a timely manner; Join meetings together with regional team if requested
- Assist with on boarding of new customers in terms of operation handover, SOP, contract, customer profile updating to accountant and operations team for credit term/new account set-up.
- Work closely with operations team to make sure all shipments on track, timely detect and collaborate with
operations to deal with relevant shipping issues or customer complaints, if occurred
- Acknowledge customers by responding to emails, texts, targeted telephone sales to prospect potential customers for BD’s follow-up
- Prepare the appropriate questionnaire for data collection from clients. Analize data and report back to BD Global Freight Business Sales Report/Presentation (40%)
- Assist GFM BD Team with presentation materials/market intelligence as required
- CRM system support:
- Create new customer profiles and record all field sale activities (visit, quotes, cold calls, ...)
- Input and update the stages of opportunities into CRM to provide a transparent customer insight as well as dashboard visibility to BD
- Prepare materials for monthly/quarterly/on-demand meeting with client/Regional team if necessary;
- Follow up weekly sales performance report
- Other administrative work as BD’s request

- Possess bachelor’s degree
- At least 2 - 3 years experience in freight forwarding operations (Freight, Customs Brokerage, Operation,...)
- Good understanding of global freight market, services and players
- An entrepreneurial and sale mindset, with the tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in fast- paced environment is crucial.
- Advanced oral/written communication & teamwork skills
- Customer Complaints / Crisis Management, Reporting Skills, Administrative Skill, Attention to Detail
- Intermediate English skill (both verbal & written)
- Good at Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power Point
- At least 2 - 3 years experience in freight forwarding operations (Freight, Customs Brokerage, Operation,...)
